Mr. Nelson S. Fernandes, B.Tech. (Chem. Engg.) (IIT Mumbai), MBA (IIM Ahmedabad)
Our founding Director was Mr. Nelson Fernandes (Late), who acted as the Managing Director of Hastand. He has had over 40 years business experience, with an extensive exposure to international trade in pharma raw materials, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and machinery. He worked as a manager with Bayer (India) Ltd., Kilachand group, Lupin Laboratories Ltd., and finally as the General Manager of Meridien Trade Corp. Ltd. U.K., engaged in international trade and finance. He was thus exposed to Indian and international management practices and business environments prior to taking over the management of Hastand in 1987. He has traveled widely on business promotion to Africa, the Middle East, S.E. Asia, Europe and S. America and has developed close connections in these countries.
Minal Fernandes, B.A. (Econ) (Mumbai), MBA (NMIMS Mumbai)
Minal Fernandes has over 15 years of experience in marketing and project management and finance. Prior to taking on an active managerial role in Hastand, she acted as Vice President for Stemcor, an international steel trading company. She has travelled extensively on business promotion through America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Monica Fernandes, B.A. (Mumbai)
Monica Fernandes, has over 40 years of experience in marketing, administration and human resources. She has previously with Mahindra & Mahindra, prior to becoming a full time consultant in these fields.
Our Independent Associate Director : Aloke Fernandes, B.E. (Mumbai), MBA (IIM Calcutta), MBA (Kellogg USA)
Aloke Fernandes has over 20 years of experience in Consulting and Marketing with exposure to IT, Telecom and Energy Industries. He worked as a Consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, India and Infosys Technologies Ltd., Australia. He then went on to join the IT industry in Silicon Valley, USA, where he has worked with companies such as Adobe, Uber and currently Inuit.
